She is the creator of The Risen World, an urban fantasy saga capturing the dangerous supernatural factions of Berlin, beginning with The Eternal Heir and continuing in The Veiled Ascent. Originally from Long Island, she has spent sixteen years in Germany, drawing on childhood visits to Bavaria, over a decade immersed in Berlin’s culture and architecture, and the rich folklore woven throughout the country. Today, she resides along the Baltic Sea coast, where the coastal air fuels her darker fictional worlds.
When she isn’t building high-stakes immortal dynasties, Liv is likely alternating between overly ambitious baking experiments and "just one more row" of crochet. A lifelong beach lover and dedicated book traveler, she spends her downtime unwinding on the Baltic shore with a great story in hand.
